INSTRUMENT ADDITIONAL RATING COURSE
ROTORCRAFT/HELICOPTER | Robinson R22, R44, & S300

The Instrument Additional Rating Course is designed to add helicopter Instrument privileges to an already Instrument rated pilot. At the end of the Instrument Rating Additional Course, you will have acquired the aeronautical knowledge and flight proficiency in a helicopter necessary to pass the required tests to add an helicopter instrument rating to your pilots license.
Course Details
Those students coming to the US on a student visa, or those utilizing veteran benefits or the Alaska Student Loan Program must complete both stages within 180 days each for a maximum course total of 360 days.
MINIMUM COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Hold a current FAA Third Class Medical Certificate (VA students must obtain a Second Class Medical)

Hold a valid Private Pilot Certificates in Rotorcraft/Helicopter as well as a category other than Rotorcraft/Helicopter

Pass an FAA Instrument Helicopter Additional Rating Practical Test

Obtain a minimum of 17 hours of dual instruction, including 15 hours of instrument time, and 20 hours of ground instructions as per course outline
